During 2020, we provided two webinars on Using Virtual Technology in Fatherhood Programs (Using Virtual Technology in Fatherhood Programs and Using Virtual Technology: A Practitioner Conversation). We continued those conversations on May 26, 2021, with a focus on tips for recruitment and retention of fathers in fatherhood programs.
Recruiting and retaining participants is always one of the most important aspects of running an effective fatherhood program. This webinar included a presentation from two experienced practitioners as they reflected on lessons learned from their virtual program work and look ahead to the possibility of a hybrid model of services that combines “normal” in-person services with ongoing virtual services. The two practitioners were joined by a father who have been participating in their program. We also included an overview of recruitment and retention tips from NRFC’s Responsible Fatherhood Toolkit: Resources From the Field.
