In recognition of Women’s History Month, this NRFC webinar highlighted the important roles that women have played, and continue to play, in the field of responsible fatherhood. We discussed how the voices of women have influenced fatherhood research, advocacy, and public policy; explored the role of female professionals in the development and implementation of fatherhood services; and provided tips from female experts on how women can effectively deliver front-line fatherhood services such as case management and group facilitation.

The United States has the highest incarceration rate in the world. Since the mid-1970s the U.S. prison population has quadrupled, reflecting one of the largest policy experiments of the twentieth century. Past research has shown numerous adverse effects of parental imprisonment on children.
