Healthy relationships, including coparenting and romantic relationships, are critical to the health and well-being of fathers and families. Supporting these relationships is therefore a key goal of many fatherhood programs. Dr. Armon Perry is a Professor in the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville, Kentucky, and also Project Director of the 4 Your Child fatherhood program. He began his career as a social worker helping children and families involved in the child welfare system.

Programs designed specifically to support fathers in their role as parents are relatively new to the policy landscape.
