Data from the Fragile Families and Child Wellbeing Study is analyzed and indicates less than one-fifth of unmarried couples had actually married by the time their child was 5 years old, nearly two-thirds of fathers are living away from their child after 5 years, and less than half saw their child more than once in the past month.
