This chapter explores the concept of connection between fathers and their children, cites examples of its influence from contemporary research, and illustrates some of the key strategies fathers can use in forging strong connections with their children. Strategies include shared activities in the areas of recreation, play and learning, work and important events, participation in spiritual activities, and involvement in consistent and enjoyable family traditions. 16 references.
