Shari Doherty, Child Find of America, Inc. Program Director and Lead Trainer, supervises a case work team addressing missing child matters, family conflict, parenting skills, and parenting apart through services ranging from safety assessments and alternative conflict resolution to navigating systems and exploring legal options. She is a certified New York State Victim Advocate and Paralegal with further expertise in sexual exploitation of children and child trafficking response, divorce, parent-teen (PINS Diversion), and parenting (custody/visitation) plan mediations. Doherty has trained adolescents and teens, family law professionals, mental health service providers, parents, early education and school staff, NGOs, child welfare agencies, and governmental grantees on issues related to missing children matters, parenting skill building, teen parents, domestic violence, and responsible fatherhood issues. She served her community as chair of her town’s recreation commission and was a PTA board member, Ballet Theatre board member, volunteer mediator, and speaker. Trained in the New York State Association for the Education of Young Children Core Body of Knowledge professional development series, Doherty specializes in crafting and delivering experiential, transformative, and highly engaging workshops.
