James Worthy is a national consultant, family advocate, business developer, and trainer. He serves as the NRFC’s outreach co-lead, presenting on behalf of the NRFC on various topics related to fatherhood, including youth violence prevention, coparenting, children of incarcerated parents, and the importance of spending time with your children, at approximately 15 conferences every year. Mr. Worthy also is a contributing expert author to the NRFC DadTalk Blog series. Over the past 25 years, Mr. Worthy has provided or managed direct services to nearly 10,000 of Baltimore’s most disenfranchised residents and provided training to nearly 5,000 human services practitioners nationwide. He formerly led a national initiative at the Center for Urban Families (CFUF) called the Practitioners Leadership Institute and managed CFUF’s technical assistance portfolio. He served with CFUF from 1998 to 2013. During this time span, Mr. Worthy was the key point person for CFUF’s contracts with the Administration for Children and Families, Office of Family Assistance Responsible Fatherhood grantees.
