Dr. Alicia La Hoz is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Founder and Executive Director of Family Bridges. Alicia works with the Latino community in the Chicagoland area, where she leads her team in developing and coordinating Family Bridges’ comprehensive marriage and relationship programs. Away from the office, she spends her time with her two inquisitive children and devoted husband, exploring nature, visiting museums, and building Lego masterpieces. She participated in the Hispanic Research Work Group organized by the Office of Planning and Research Evaluation under the Administration for Children and Families, has been involved in providing lay counseling training in Latin America, and served as an assistant faculty member for Trinity International University, South Florida Campus, teaching community psychology in the graduate psychology department. Under her leadership, Family Bridges worked with ICF International in 2013 to complete a toolkit for stakeholders working with Latino couples and individuals.
